who are designer glasses boutique?

Established in 2012, Designer Glasses Boutique is a family run business that is based in Kendal, Cumbria. All our orders are processed and dispatched from our high street store in Kendal. Designer Glasses Boutique have an in house lab and every order is checked by a Dispensing Optician.

Is Designer Glasses Boutique an authorised Retailer?

Yes, Designer Glasses Boutique is an authorised retailer for all the brands carried.

We only sell 100% authentic eyewear products.

We have accounts with Luxottica, Safilo, Marcolin, Dita, Mondottica, Kering, Essilor and Zeiss.

We do not purchase any products from third parties.

How Do I get a Prescription?

Once you have had an eye examination your Optician will give you a copy of your prescription. If your Optician does not give you a copy of your prescription, please ask them for a copy.

If you have any difficulties in obtaining your prescription please contact us and we can help you.

How do I measure my PD?

You can ask the Optician or store where you last purchased your glasses from if they will provide you with your PD (pupil distance) measurement. If you prefer not to ask we recommend 'EyeMeasure' for Apple iPhone or 'GlassesOn' for Samsung/Android users. We also have a PDF guide, please contact us if you would like us to email you a copy.

how Do I Order Online With My Prescription?

If you are not sure how to input your prescription into our online form, once you have completed the order please reply to the order confirmation email and attach a copy of your prescription. Many of our customers take a picture of their prescription and email the copy over to us for our Optician to check all the details are correct.

If you would like any advice about your prescription and which lens options to select, please email us a copy of your prescription and we can call you back or email you with your best options.

Do you have any discount codes or Student/NHS discount?

Currently, we are not offering any discount codes. If we have a discount code it will be displayed on the top of the website.

What Is included with My Eyewear?

All our glasses and sunglasses include the branded case and cloth.

We always include all the materials provided from your eyewear brand, such as authenticity cards, booklets, leaflets and tags.

Does My Eyewear Come With a warranty?

Yes, all glasses and sunglasses are covered with a 24 month warranty.

The warranty covers faults caused by a manufacturing defect and does not cover normal wear and tear of accidental damage. Glasses and sunglasses lenses are covered against manufacturing defects however not against scratches.

warranty Replacements?

Warranty replacements are valid from date of purchase for 24 months. If a warranty is granted then it must be for the same replacement item. If a warranty product is no longer available a choice of alternative product will be offered.

How do returns work?

Returns must be in original condition and with all accessories (e.g. cloths, cases, etc.). Please include a covering letter stating the reason for your return.  All refunds will be made via the same method of payment.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the items reach us in a saleable condition and to cover return postage and insurance costs.

Can I get a refund on the cost of prescription lenses?

No, we do not refund prescription lenses if the glasses/sunglasses are not suitable. If you did wish to return prescription glasses/sunglasses we will refund you the full cost of the glasses/sunglasses however we will not refund you the cost of the prescription lenses.

If you are not sure about the glasses/sunglasses, we recommend ordering the glasses/sunglasses as a frame only and trying them at home. If they are suitable you can send them back to us to put in prescription lenses and we will not charge you a reglaze fee.

How long do I have to return an item?

From receiving the glasses/sunglasses you have 14 days

How long will it take to recieve a refund?

Once we have received the glasses/sunglasses back for a refund, we will process the refund that day. The refund will be processed back to the same payment method and can take 3-5 working days to appear back into your account, depending on your bank.

How long will my order take?

This depends on your order. If you have ordered prescription glasses and sunglasses, we quote 7-10 working days, depending on the prescription it can be quicker.

If you have ordered glasses or sunglasses without prescription, if we have them in stock we normally dispatch them on the same day, if we don't have them in stock it can take 5-7 working days. Once you have placed an order we will email you with an update, explaining how long your order will take. If you would like us to check stock, please contact us and we will check for.
